With every new iteration of a manufacturer’s R4 3DS card, they always aim to improve something; may it be the hardware, its functionalities, just to name a few.

Since there are a lot of R4 3DS cards out there, it can be pretty daunting to look for the R4 3DS card that suits you. You see, although most R4 3DS cards sport almost the same features, there are some cards with standout features not present in other R4 3DS cards.

In this article, we are going to talk about the R4iTT Purple 2016 R4 3DS Card. This is a newly upgrade R4iTT Purple R4 3DS card. There was a 2015 edition, and although it is one of the better ones for the price, the 2016 edition has a new hardware.

That’s right, the R4iTT Purple 2016 R4 3DS Card now comes with a much-improved dual-core processor and that the manufacturers also added a slew of other features as well.

The first new feature is the ability to play GBA games on the fly. What this feature does is that instead of relying on a standalone homebrew emulator to play GBA games, you can now do so with this card. In short, you will not have to install any other GBA emulator as you can play it right off the bat. You still need to download the GBA games that you want, though.

As for the hardware, the R4iTT Purple 2016 R4 3DS Card comes with a new dual-core processing chip that allows for 64-bit encoding. This means that the chip is way faster than the previous 2015 edition. They’ve also upgraded the microSD card support to 64GB storage capacity.

I am now happy with most of the R4 3DS manufacturers today because they are already pushing the microSD card storage capability up a notch. In the previous generation of R4 3DS cards, the maximum storage capacity was only 32GB, and although it is enough for most people’s needs, people who store a lot of files and games in their microSD card will find the 32GB storage very limited.

Then, of course, there is the homebrew applications support with DLDI-patching. If you were to shop for an R4 3DS card, make sure that it has the DLDI auto-patching feature. Before, when you want to install homebrew applications on your Nintendo 3DS, you have to manually patch them in order for them to work on your portable gaming console. That is now a thing of the past because most R4 3DS cards nowadays have this feature.

The R4iTT Purple 2016 R4 3DS Card also supports both Moonshell and Action Replay Cheat application. The former is a popular media player and the latter is where you can input cheat codes for various games and you can enable them while playing.

The R4iTT Purple 2016 R4 3DS Card has a new hardware and a lot of great features and for the price of only $18, this R4 3DS card is a bargain.
